We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the enterprise-scale design and implementation of a modern test automation platform built on Playwright.
This role is ideal for a senior engineer who has successfully led a Selenium-to-Playwright migration in a large organization and understands both the technical and organizational challenges of modernizing automation at scale.
You will define enterprise-wide standards, build scalable automation infrastructure, and drive quality transformation across multiple engineering teams.
- Architect and standardize a scalable Playwright framework for multi-team adoption.
- Lead and execute the migration strategy from Selenium to Playwright.
- Define enterprise automation standards, including:
- Async programming best practices
- Modern locator and test design patterns
- Test isolation and reliability strategies
- CI/CD integration and pipeline optimization
- Optimize execution performance, stability, and parallelization at scale.
- Design automation infrastructure including reporting, observability, and test analytics.
- Partner with engineering leadership to embed automation into the SDLC.
- Mentor engineers and act as the technical authority for automation strategy.
- 5+ years in test automation engineering.
- Demonstrated experience leading Playwright automation initiatives within mid-to-large enterprise environments.
- Experience designing full-stack automation (UI + API).
- Experience building and scaling automation frameworks used by multiple teams.
- Deep understanding of test architecture, CI/CD systems, and distributed testing strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving engineering standards and cross-team adoption.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Proven experience leading Selenium-to-Playwright migration.
- Experience with CI/CD technologies (Jenkins etc.)
