About the Role
~1 min readThe Senior Software Engineer develops tests and maintains the NICE CXone software platform. Key responsibilities include all tiers of the NICE CXone technology, including (but not limited to) design and development of NICE CXone products and features, unit testing, code reviews, resolving defects encountered during the QA cycle, supporting the production environment, and assisting other developers in a team environment utilizing agile development processes.
Lead and deliver complex reporting projects as an Individual Contributor.
Analyze business requirements and collaborate with technical teams to design effective solutions.
Participate in technology evaluations and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
Apply strong Object-Oriented Design (OOD/OOP) principles and software design patterns.
Develop scalable, high-performance, and enterprise-grade software solutions.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and encryption practices.
Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills in a fast-paced environment.
Influence stakeholders effectively and collaborate across teams.
Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices.
4–7 years of hands-on experience in Java development (Web & Server-side).
Strong Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and coding skills.
Expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, and JSON.
Experience developing multi-tier, enterprise-grade web applications.
Good knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Understanding of Microservices and Cloud-Native architectures.
Front-end experience with Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and Micro Frontends.
Experience building responsive UIs, reusable components, and translating designs into high-quality web/mobile applications.
Partner with AI Transformation teams to deliver impactful, AI-driven software solutions.
Leverage AI coding agents and tools to accelerate development, testing, and delivery.
Break down complex engineering challenges into scalable, shippable solutions.
Balance technical excellence with speed of execution.
Build and deploy AI-powered applications, including LLMs, agents, and automation solutions.
Experience with CI/CD, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and automated testing (JUnit, Karma).
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
Experience working in Agile, global, and matrixed environments.
Fast learner, collaborative team player, and proficient in English.
