Job Description
Assembles and welds shells, rings, and feet for generators. Also corrects settings, speeds, and feeds on welders including proper setup of product to be welded.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Assembles and welds shells, rings, and feet for generators
- →Places stator core on mandrel, asssembles shell and rings
- →Guages height and then tacks weld together
- →Assembles and welds feet to frame and core assembly
- →Corrects settings on welders including speeds and feeds as well as proper setup of product to be welded
- →Inspects quality of material being welded to prevent rework
- →Includes MIG welding
- →Protects other employees from flash of arc which could cause damage to eyes
- →Wears welding hood, gloves, and other protection as dictated
- →Exercises good housekeeping in work area
- →Observes good safety practices in performance of job
- →Performs daily/weekly TPM tasks and completes checksheets
- →Performs other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader
- Must be able to read complicated drawings, decimal dimensions on blueprints, utilize precise measuring devices and use to perform own setups
High School Diploma / GED Required
