About the Role
~1 min readNooks is seeking a Security Specialist for a 3-4 month deployment to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, to support our Europe and Africa operations - with the potential opportunity to extend or convert to a full-time position upon completion. You will be the daily point of contact in our classified facilities, ensuring a superior user experience and maintaining strict security compliance. This is a high-impact, on-site role for a candidate with practical experience in physical security (PHYSEC) and operational execution in classified environments.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Oversee and perform onsite industrial security operations, ensuring compliance with NISPOM and SCI control systems
- →Maintain high physical security readiness, including oversight of Access Control Systems (ACS) and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
- →Implement Nooks and Client SOPs, Emergency Action Plans, and site-specific security measures
- →Coordinate Visit Authorization Requests (VARs) and manage personnel clearance records via DISS
- →Create and maintain documentation for SCIF accreditations, including Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) and TEMPEST packages
- →Respond to, report, and resolve security incidents and conduct fact-finding investigations
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience focused primarily on PHYSEC with supporting experience in PERSEC within the U.S. Defense Industrial Base
- PHYSEC Focus: Demonstrated knowledge of physical security standards, including experience with ACS, IDS, CD-X10/X-10 locks; as well as SCIF design and construction
- PERSEC Knowledge: Working proficiency with DISS and other personnel security databases
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of NISPOM and ICD / ICS manuals
- Documentation: Experience with CSPs, FFCs, and accreditation documentation
- Off-base lodging and daily Meals & Incidental Expenses (M&IE), not to exceed the GSA rates, will be provided
- Annualized salary range ($90,000 – $120,000) prorated for the duration of the 3-4 month deployment
- Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Candidates must be capable of maintaining eligibility up to the Top Secret/SCI level within 45 days of hire. Please note: An Interim clearance is not sufficient for this role
