Senior Accountant - Tax/Audit

The Senior Accountant will support Nooks’ on-going efforts to implement and refine future-state close processes and procedures, auditor requests, research and validate possible tax treatments and strategies, and review 3^rd party accounting treatments for accuracy.  This is an individual contributor role with partial dotted-line management duties for our 3^rd party accounting team.

• →Manage Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-End close processes in conjunction with the 3^rd party accounting team.
• →Review close processes and procedures for reasonableness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• →Vet potential software improvements to support a more efficient accounting function, including the usage of automated / AI-assisted book-keeping and JE entry.
• →Support research into tax strategies as Nooks continues to grow.

• 5-7 years of accounting experience (Audit, Tax, AP/AR, etc.).
• CPA preferred.
• Comfort with independent research on company accounting policy inputs & treatments.
