Job Summary:

As the Senior Product Manager, BioProfile Portfolio, you will be a key member of the Global Bioprocessing Business Team. You will be part of a dynamic and innovative environment, leading cross-functional teams to drive new customer acquisition and develop and launch products and commercial strategies aligned with the company’s vision and strategy. You will be responsible for all business aspects of the Nova Biomedical BioProfile portfolio of products and services, including meeting top-line growth and profitability targets.

We are looking for a highly commercial person who is passionate about delivering best-in-class products and solutions to the biopharma industry. You will work extremely closely with R&D, Production, Service, Sales, and Marketing. The role requires extensive customer collaboration and workflow understanding to ensure the delivery of a customer-centric, highly successful product line and future roadmap.

In addition to having a strong understanding of cell culture and upstream biopharma workflows and market dynamics, you will have a deep understanding of customer workflow pain points. You will also be responsible for articulating customer needs, the product line vision, and the roadmap to drive a compelling value proposition for short- and long-term revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

Product Life Cycle Management

  • Accountable for supporting commercial sales targets.
  • Work with regional leaders to produce global product line projections and budgets, including units, revenue, product mix, average selling price, and gross margin.
  • Identify 12-month revenue drivers and market focus.
  • Execute tactical and commercial initiatives with Sales and Marketing to drive product line growth and profitability.
  • Develop new product training, competitive positioning, and ongoing support for direct and indirect sales organizations, including discovery-phase questions, translating features into benefits, and responding to objections.
  • Support the commercial organization in delivering revenue commitments by conducting product demonstrations.
  • Maintain close communication with Sales and customers to understand the need for new product introductions and product improvements, as well as the key strengths and weaknesses of competitors and the emergence of new competitors.
  • Provide responsive support to the Sales organization regarding product information requests.
  • Build a network of centers of excellence to advocate for our technology.
  • Support the development and execution of the marketing plan in collaboration with the Marketing team.

Product Development & Launch

  • Support and drive the development of product improvements, new products, and product launches.
  • Develop business cases for new products, features, and applications with evidence related to demand, market viability, and technical viability.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed customer requirements for rapid time-to-market development and prioritize the product line roadmap.
  • Write product requirements based on customer and market input.
  • Support R&D and development teams by answering questions and prioritizing features.
  • Support R&D in the design of next-generation products, new product introductions, and improvements to existing products.
  • Work closely with the Project Management team on high-level project management, ensuring milestones are agreed upon, documented, and met.
  • Develop and drive product launch and go-to-market strategies with support from cross-functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and executive leadership.
  • Develop clear, market-focused value propositions and product positioning for new products, features, applications, and target markets.
  • Work with Operations and Finance to define product pricing, including price lists, pricing tactics, margins, and competitor pricing.
  • Work with the appropriate departments to develop all relevant product collateral and content, including user guides, instructions for use, and marketing materials, to support the product portfolio.

Portfolio Development

  • Provide strategic direction for the product portfolio with a five-year planning horizon.

Experience Requirements:

  • Biotechnology development background is required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • More than 5 years of proven product management experience, with a strong emphasis on biopharmaceutical markets and technologies.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cell culture or fermentation process development within laboratory research or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven background in biotechnology development.
  • In-depth knowledge of nutrient, metabolite, gas analysis, and cell-counting systems used in biotechnology applications.
  • Strong familiarity with pharmaceutical industry standards, including Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA validation protocols.Proficiency in statistical data analysis and interpretation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence others while maintaining both a technical and commercial focus.
  • Tenacious and driven to succeed.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to [25–50] pounds as required

  • Ability to communicate effectively via phone, video, and written communication.

  • Ability to occasionally move about the office to access meetings or resources
