Laboratory Assistant II - Per Diem

$19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• →Triage, accession, and process non-gynecologic, gynecologic, and FNA specimen
• →Assist with quality control processes and procedures to assure that instruments and reagents meet the required standard of performance
• →Performs related clerical and service tasks such as answering phone inquiries from nursing staff and physicians and gives results data as required.

• →Maintains a safe work environment by using required protective devices. Handles biohazardous materials and chemicals according to established protocol. 

• →Participate in inventory and ordering management.

• →Actively promotes patient satisfaction and customer service values with all staff members. Treats patients with respect and care. Instructs and encourages coworkers to treat patients and hospital staff courteously. Enhances the laboratory image by reacting positively with all customers.
• →Support new staff through training and mentorship.
• →Ensure quality and compliance through completion and correction of laboratory logs.

• →Education: Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalent.

• →Certification: N/A
• →Experience: at least one year of laboratory experience
• →Unique or Preferred Skills: Basic computer skills, customer service, and laboratory techniques.
