→Able to solve technical and interdepartmental problems related to the various Laboratory areas
→Capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of results and taking corrective action or notifying appropriate supervisory personnel.
→Good communication and organizational skills.
→Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others.

→Education: Associate's degree and the requisite courses to meet CLIA requirements for moderate to high complexity testing.
→Certification: MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent and ongoing active certification is strongly preferred.
→Experience: MT/MLS: Experience preferred. Internal MLT Candidate: Two (2) years of experience at NorthShore performing moderate to high complexity testing beyond POC/Waived testing with an achieved competency level of a Laboratory Associate. External MLT Candidate: Four (4) years of experience in a comparable healthcare setting of moderate to high complexity testing beyond POC/Waived testing with an achieved competency level of a Laboratory Associate.
