Patient Care Technician -CV- Days

• Position: Patient Care Technician -CV- Days
• Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
• Full Time: 36 hours per week
• Hours: 7am-7:30pm (4-5 weekends in a 6 week period) and rotating holiday track
• Call: If census is low and not needed in other areas
• Required Travel: no
• Float: Could float to any inpatient unit including PCCU

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

• →Education: N/A
• →Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
• →Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• →Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• →Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
