Position: Patient Care Technician -CV Unit - Nights
Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
Full Time: 36 hours per week
Hours: 7pm-7:30a.m.am (4-5 weekends in a 6 week period) and rotating holiday track
Call: If census is low and not needed in other areas
Required Travel: no
Float: Could float to any inpatient unit including PCCU

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

→Education: N/A
→Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
→Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
→Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
→Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
