Position: Respiratory Therapist RRT - Per Diem
Location: Glenbrook Hospital - Glenview, IL
Per Diem | Hours are Based on Department Needs
Hours: Shifts will vary Monday-Friday from 6:30am-7pm, 6:30pm-7am, 6:30am-3pm, or 2:30pm-11pm with rotating weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

→Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures
→Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
→Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
→Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
→Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
→Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
→Provide patient and staff education

→Education: Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), required.
→License/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status, required.
→State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required within 6 months of employment.
→Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association, required.
→ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 24 months of employment
