- Position: Speech Language Pathologist II – Outpatient Pediatrics – Days
- Location: 9977 Woods Drive, Skokie, IL
- Full-Time – Hourly employee; building from 34 hours to 40 hours over the first 4-6 months (hours will vary between 34-40hrs)
- Hours: M-Th approx. 10am-6:00pm, Fri. 8am-12pm
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Complete initial competencies during the 90 day on-boarding period
- →Provide evaluation, treatment, and follow-up services to the pediatric patient population with moderate to complex/atypical conditions.
- →Diagnostics: Evaluates patients in the areas of articulation, expressive/receptive language, cognition, memory, voice, fluency/stuttering, etc., with emphasis on fluency/stuttering as these patients will comprise a portion of caseload. Caseload will be primarily pre-school and school-aged children; younger ages pending additional competency completion during first year of employment.
- →Treatment Planning: Establishes and administers individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations continuously assessing effectiveness and modifying as necessary.
- →Clinical Documentation: Completes all patient records, billing, and documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and professional standards.
- →License: Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of IL required.
- →Education: Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from a university program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- →Certification: BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association required. Holds or is working towards a Certificate of Clinical Competence of the American-Speech-Hearing Association.
- →Experience: Pediatrics 2-3 years inpatient and/or outpatient setting
- →Skills: Experience with FEES and Outpatient pediatric VSS preferred.
