Technical Program Manager (TPM) – Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead complex technical programs and drive cross-functional collaboration between product, engineering, and business teams. The TPM will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering programs while ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Management

• Drive end-to-end program execution from scoping and planning through delivery.

• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

• Maintain a quarterly roadmap of prioritized and scoped work.

• Identify program risks, dependencies, and issues and proactively develop mitigation plans.

• Track and communicate project progress, schedules, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Agile Delivery

• Participate in and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily standups (SCRUM), sprint planning, and retrospectives.

• Ensure Agile best practices are followed across teams.

• Continuously improve processes to enhance delivery efficiency and team productivity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the primary liaison between product management, engineering, and business stakeholders.

• Coordinate with architecture, engineering, and leadership teams during program planning and execution.

• Ensure alignment across teams regarding priorities, timelines, and deliverables.

• Facilitate discussions, gather consensus, and drive decisions to move initiatives forward.

Stakeholder Communication

• Provide regular status updates, including weekly program reports and stakeholder meetings.

• Communicate program schedules, risks, and dependencies clearly across teams.

• Keep senior leadership informed of project timelines, progress, and results.

Technical & Strategic Contribution

• Collaborate with teams working on machine learning initiatives and technical solutions.

• Support development of strategic plans, goals, and program objectives.

• Evaluate technical and business requirements to ensure effective program outcomes.

Team & Organizational Development

• Assist in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new team members.

• Foster a collaborative environment that empowers teams and drives engagement.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SCRUM practices.

• Proven experience managing technical programs or complex projects.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.

• Familiarity with machine learning practices and technical development environments.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
