Responsibilities

- → Recruit potential participants through approved in-person and electronic methods
- → Conduct eligibility screening and support informed-consent and enrollment procedures in accordance with the approved study protocol
- → Administer research assessments or facilitate participant completion of self-administered surveys
- → Respond to participant questions, provide appropriate study guidance, and support a respectful and affirming research experience
- → Schedule study visits and maintain participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, and completion records
- → Monitor survey completion and review study data for completeness, accuracy, and potential discrepancies
- → Conduct participant follow-up when responses are incomplete or clarification is needed, consistent with approved procedures
- → Enter, organize, clean, and maintain research data and study documentation
- → Assist with quality-assurance activities, including routine review of study records and adherence to standard operating procedures
- → Maintain participant confidentiality and ensure compliance with IRB requirements, human-subjects protections, and institutional policies
- → Coordinate study materials, recruitment documents, regulatory files, and secure data-management systems
- → Participate in regular research-team meetings and provide updates on recruitment, enrollment, data collection, and study progress
- → Assist with descriptive analyses, data visualization, and interpretation of study findings under investigator supervision
- → Contribute and/or lead secondary data analyses
- → Conduct targeted literature reviews and assist with reference management
- → Contribute to the development of scientific abstracts, posters, presentations, reports, and peer-reviewed manuscripts
- → Support dissemination of findings to academic, clinical, and community audiences
- → Perform additional study-related duties as needed
Requirements
~3 min read- Bachelor's degree in public health, or an equivalent combination of education and/or equivalent in relevant Education and/or Training
- At least (2) years working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) guidelines including protection of human subjects, definitions and reporting requirements for adverse events, elements of informed consent, Federal Codes,Regulations and Guidelines relevant to the performance and conduct of clinical research.
- At least (2) years working knowledge with Windows environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- At least (2) years of experience managing day-to-day research study activities including but not limited to data-organizing, analysis, cleaning & maintaining
- Prior experience (1 year or more) conducting human-subjects research, including recruitment, screening, informed consent, or survey administration
- 1 year or more experience working with sexual and gender minority communities, young adults, or populations affected by HIV or substance use
- Knowledge of or interest in HIV prevention, PrEP, cannabis use, behavioral health, or health disparities
- 1 year or more experience with REDCap
- Familiarity with statistical software such as R, SAS, SPSS, or Stata
- Experience conducting literature reviews or contributing to abstracts, posters, presentations, or manuscripts
- Familiarity with IRB requirements
- Interest in developing a career in behavioral, clinical, public health, or social science research
