The Role:
This is an ideal role for someone developing their project management career and looking to build on their experience within a creative agency environment. As Project Manager, you will support the delivery of standalone and smaller integrated projects, helping to coordinate activity from client brief through to final asset handover.
Working closely with the Ops Lead and wider project team, you will help keep projects organised, moving and well communicated. You will support project planning, timelines, meetings, documentation, resource and production coordination, while building confidence in agency processes, project tools, commercial tracking and creative delivery.
You will be someone who is highly organised, curious, collaborative and comfortable asking questions. You will bring strong attention to detail, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn how great creative work is delivered across teams, whilst keeping on top of all the necessary administrative financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the Project Coordinator – Support the day-to-day delivery of standalone and smaller integrated projects, helping to keep timings, actions, documentation and deliverables on track.
- Be the Organised Planner – Help set up project plans, updates key internal project documents, ensuring information is clear, accurate and easy for the team to follow.
- Be the Seamless Integrator – Work with creative, strategy, client service, production, technical and operations teams to coordinate project activity and support smooth collaboration across disciplines.
- Be the Commercial Support – Support budget tracking, project admin and financial processes (via Workday and client systems) building your understanding of commercial delivery with guidance from the Ops Lead.
- Be the Early Risk Spotter – Help identify potential timing, resource, finance or delivery risks early and escalate them appropriately so the team can agree solutions.
- Be the Quality and Process Champion – Maintain high standards across project documentation, status reports and deliverables, developing confidence with agency tools, processes and platforms.
- Be the Project Advocate – Help represent the needs of the project within the agency, ensuring actions, blockers and requirements are clearly communicated to the right people.
- Be the Creative Problem-Solver – Support the team in finding practical solutions to challenges while helping projects stay on track and maintaining a focus on creative quality.
- Be Ready to Embrace AI – Use AI tools, including WPP Open, to support efficiency, summarise information, consolidate feedback and improve everyday ways of working.
- Be Open to Change – Stay curious, adaptable and willing to engage with new ways of working as the agency and wider industry continue to evolve.
Key Skills:
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards across project documentation and deliverables.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work well with different teams and stakeholders.
- Some experience in project coordination, operations, client service, marketing, creative delivery or a similar environment would be helpful, but agency experience is not essential.
- An interest in creative work and curiosity about how ideas move from brief through to delivery.
- Willingness to learn project management processes, tools, platforms and agency ways of working.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset, with confidence to ask questions, flag issues and escalate when support is needed.
- Comfortable working with change and ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
- Interest in using AI tools, including WPP Open, to support efficiency, summarise information and improve ways of working.
- Collaborative working style, with a positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
