The Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System (OPPRS) proudly serves approximately 11,000 active, inactive, and retired members and beneficiaries. Managing over $3.9 billion in assets, our dedicated team ensures the long-term financial security of Oklahoma’s law enforcement community. We are currently seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Accountant II to join our financial team.

Responsibilities

  • →Financial Ledger Management: Prepare, review, and post various journals, ledgers, and fiscal accounts.
  • →Financial Reporting: Analyze and present comprehensive financial statements and expenditure reports.
  • →Accounts Payable & Compliance: Review and approve vouchers and invoices to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • →Budget & Fund Management: Analyze agency budget requirements and allocate funds to proper accounts or organizational functions.
  • →Payroll Processing: Prepare and manage agency payroll data.
  • →Data Analysis: Interpret complex financial data to support operational decision-making.
  • Consist of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of bookkeeping for each year of the required degree.
  • Previous employment with the State of Oklahoma is a must
