→Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
→Functional experience in identity management, authentication factors, or security — particularly MFA mechanisms (TOTP, SMS OTP, push notifications, hardware security keys)
→Understanding of API and SDK design principles, including developer experience considerations such as error handling, versioning, and documentation
→5+ years of experience as a product manager
→Champion for collaborative, iterative product discovery
→Love the work of identifying and deeply understanding customer problems
→Like to get your hands dirty and use the products you build

Requirements

Hands-on technical background: prior software engineering, developer advocacy, or solutions engineering experience
Familiarity with authentication standards and specifications: WebAuthn, FIDO2/Passkeys, OATH (TOTP/HOTP), OIDC, SAML
Experience with cryptographic concepts relevant to authentication (public key infrastructure, attestation, challenge-response flows)
Practical experience analyzing product and behavioral data using SQL, dashboards, or analytics tooling
Experience working in agile/scrum environments
Ability to travel within US or Canada

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington is between:

$169,000—$232,000 USD

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:

$146,000—$200,000 CAD
