This position reports to the production manager and / or plant manager and is responsible for maximizing On Time In Full (OTIF) operational performance by proactively reviewing the production schedules and coordinating material flow across all departments within the manufacturing process from the presses to the shipping docks.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Ensure all tasks are performed safely maintaining adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
- →Review open orders reports daily.
- →Monitor all orders scheduled to ship today through the next 3 days to guarantee execution.
- →Analyze the EPICS backorder report to troubleshoot and coordinate resolutions.
- →Facilitate departmental schedule reviews to align leadership on daily targets and critical path focused on OTIF and past due orders.
- →Evaluate departmental bookings to finite capacity to ensure realistic and achievable workflow.
- →Review Insulbar open orders specifically to ensure dual mate alignment and availability.
- →Audit back to press orders to determine if they can be closed or rerouted to be pulled from the millstock to reduce set ups / change overs.
- →Follow up with upstream departments that owe materials to downstream processes.
- →Follow up on all actionable requests made during the previous shifts or day.
- →Provide hands on assistance to help navigate and accelerate fast track items and expedited orders throughout the production process for premier customer accounts
- At least 18 years of age.
- Previous manufacturing and or scheduling experience preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Able to operate under pressure, meet strict deadlines, multitask, and effectively prioritize.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Able to work shift, with periods of required overtime as needed.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Team player who works well with others.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
