Description
The Domestic Violence Coordinated Entry (CE) Community Case Manager provides mobile, survivor-centered outreach, assessment, and navigation services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness due to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking. This position ensures survivors have safe, equitable access to the Coordinated Entry System while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with Violence Against Women Act protections.
Requirements
~1 min read1. Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2. 2+ years experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking.
3. Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, safety planning, and survivor advocacy.
4. Knowledge of crisis intervention and service coordination.
5. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
6. Ability to deal effectively with conflict and crisis in a calm manner to foster a positive resolution.
7. Excellent computer skills including basic office programs and the ability to learn and utilize the HMIS database.
8. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
9. Ability to travel throughout the 7-county service area of the Low Country Continuum of Care in a personal vehicle or company-provided vehicle.
Responsibilities
~1 min read1. Requires sound mental reasoning, sound judgment, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in a crisis.
2. Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range; ability to move between service locations; ability to lift 25 lbs.
3. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
4. Comfortable working in homeless encampments and other areas people experiencing homelessness may congregate.
5. Exposure to weather conditions, such as heat, rain, etc.
