At Optiweb, a Technical Project Manager is the person who makes complex projects actually land. You sit between ambitious clients and a sharp internal team of developers, designers, and architects, and your job is to make sure neither side loses. Projects span custom web projects, e-commerce platforms, PIM systems, and everything in between, built for some of Slovenia's most recognized brands and international clients like Harvey Norman, Corsair, Mass, Intersport, Iglu Sport, Inotherm, Big Bang, Kras, etc.

This is not a coordination role. It requires technical credibility, business understanding, and the kind of ownership that makes clients come back, not just once, but for years.

We expect our PM to be AI native. This doesn't mean knowing every tool. It means defaulting to AI as part of how you work. Writing specs, preparing documentation, researching client industries, summarizing meetings, drafting proposals, these should all happen with AI as a natural part of the workflow, not as an afterthought. At Optiweb, AI is already part of how our entire team operates, and we expect the same from anyone joining us in this role.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor on their business and development needs

  • Consult clients on upcoming changes, requirements, and innovations in the field of development

  • Support the sales team in pitching, signing new business, and preparing contracts

  • Manage 3-5 development projects simultaneously, keeping them on time, on budget, and on scope

  • Lead sprint planning, resource planning, and project documentation (functional specs, wireframes, flowcharts, timelines)

  • Monitor project metrics, coordinate monthly invoicing, and report based on pre-agreed payment dynamics

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage project-related risks proactively

  • Bridge communication between clients and internal teams (dev-ops, front- and back-end developers, designers)

  • Monitor and coordinate multidisciplinary teams using both technical and people skills

  • Coordinate retrospectives and post-project activities

  • Manage change requests, update requests, and support tickets

  • Prepare regular progress reports and project status updates

  • Manage internal and external escalations with the support of team leads

  • Curious about the client's world - you listen deeply, understand what they actually need, and translate that into actionable direction for the team

  • Technically sharp - not a developer, but someone who digs in, asks the right questions, and can smell when something is off

  • You communicate with clarity and confidence in both directions - nothing gets lost between client and team

  • You know how to guide a conversation toward a decision without being pushy about it

  • Strong negotiator, comfortable with difficult conversations

  • You take ownership - if something is at risk, you act, you don't wait

  • Composure under pressure - managing 3-5 projects simultaneously is chaotic by nature

  • AI native - already using it daily for specs, documentation, research, prototypes, and more. Executor mindset included - you can build an MVP independently when needed

  • At least 3 years of experience in project management, ideally in a development or digital environment

  • Fluent in Slovene and English

Experience matters, but drive and instincts matter more. If you have less experience but the right mindset, we want to hear from you.

  • Permanent employment contract

  • A flexible schedule and location of work: hybrid model or at our offices - your call

  • Competitive salary and other financial benefits (above-average compensation for remote work as well as maximum reimbursement for lunch, yearly bonuses based on performance)

  • Working with various team members and some of the most prominent Slovenian and foreign clients

  • Education funding and mentorship

  • Personal and professional development

  • A safe and stable job at company-owned headquarters

  • The best team-buildings ;)

  • More of our perks

If you know someone who'd be a great fit, let them know about this opportunity. Applications are open until the position is filled, and you can apply in English or Slovene.
