Custodial Worker (Overnight)

This is an overnight position! Life Protect 24/7 is searching for self-motivated, high performing individuals with a desire to advocate for safety and cleanliness, challenge themselves, and create a welcoming environment for coworkers on a daily basis. The assistant superviosr will provide coverage when the supervisor is off. If this sounds like you, you are a great candidate for our Overnight Sanitation and Custodial Worker position.

Overnight Schedule: 

• Full-Time 6:00pm - 2:00am 
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday (off Thursday, Friday, and Sunday) 
• 32 Hour schedule 

How will you do that?

We take great pride in the care we take for our facilities! As an overnight custodian, you will be responsible for supporting the upkeep and cleanliness of our building by completing a number of tasks throughout the evening. Custodians work on the sanitation team to keep the building in pristine condition; you will be responsible for cleaning offices, cubicles, restrooms, and other areas of the building. 

Responsibilities include:

• Using approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces

• Disposing of trash

• Sweeping and mopping floors

• Maintaining restrooms and restocking supplies

• Responding to spills or other incidents

• Providing sanitation to laptops and headsets

• Interacting with coworkers in a positive manner

• Providing super coverage when needed

• Other tasks, as needed.

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds 
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, twist, and reach
• Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as scrubbing or wiping
• Must be able to work with chemical substances and other cleaning materials
• Must be able to operate backpack and handheld style industrial vacuum cleaners

Additional Requirements:

• Work well with others on a team 
• Receive and respect coaching and training
• Experience working with cleaning routines
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• 3-5 years of outstanding custodial experience
• 1-2 years of supervisor requirements 
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
• Ability to interact with staff, peers, supervisors, and management while remaining professional, polite, and courteous

Pay: $14/hour
