Senior Product Designer, Movement

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Product Designer to join Oura's Movement team. Oura's mission is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help millions of members gain a deeper understanding of their sleep, readiness, activity, and overall health through the Oura Ring and its connected app.

The Oura Design team makes the invisible visible — translating complex physiology and sensor data into simple, purposeful experiences that help people understand their bodies and take meaningful action.In this role, you'll design mobile experiences that help members move with more awareness, motivation, and confidence — from understanding their daily activity to engaging with workouts, live metrics, and post-activity insights.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role. You'll own design for meaningful product areas from early exploration through launch, working closely with Product, Engineering, Science, Research, and fellow designers to create experiences that are clear, useful, and deeply integrated into the broader Oura app.

• →Design end-to-end experiences for our Oura mobile app focusing on Movement experiences and advanced hardware technologies, from defining the problem, prototyping, refinement, and launch.
• →Translate complex biometric data and product science into clear, pixel-perfect, and intuitive experiences that help members understand their bodies and take action.
• →Move fluidly and confidently between Figma and AI prototyping tools, testing concepts against real data to validate and refine designs quickly.
• →Contribute to new features and improve existing Movement experiences, using research and data to iterate on your work.
• →Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Science to understand member needs and inform design decisions.
• →Collaborate with fellow designers to keep Movement experiences cohesive with the broader Oura app and uphold a high craft bar.
• →Participate in design culture through critique, feedback, and knowledge sharing.

This is a hybrid role out of our San Francisco office.

• 5+ years designing digital products, with significant experience in consumer-facing mobile experiences.
• A portfolio showing strong visual design, interaction, and product thinking, with end-to-end ownership of shipped work.
• Fluency across Figma and AI-assisted prototyping, with the judgment to test and validate ideas against real data.
• The ability to turn complex information into clear, actionable user experiences.
• A track record of using research, usability testing, and analytics to inform design decisions.
• Strong command of mobile design patterns — and when to break them.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to explain decisions and work effectively across disciplines and distributed teams.
• Experience with wearables, sensors, connected devices, or other data-rich health/fitness products.

• Experience designing for movement, workouts, activity tracking, or behavior change.
• Experience with motion design and interaction details that make data-rich experiences feel intuitive and motivating.
• Curiosity about emerging technology, sensing capabilities, and the ways they can create more useful health experiences.
• An interest in the relationship between movement, recovery, readiness, and long-term health.
