Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Clerk to support the finance department with daily accounting operations, reconciliations, and financial administration.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with company procedures and accounting regulations.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Prepare supplier payment schedules.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies or queries.
- Maintain organised supplier records and filing systems.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Record petty cash transactions and reimbursements.
- Monitor cash deposits and withdrawals.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare supporting documentation for audits.
- Maintain VAT and tax-related records.
- Support payroll administration when required.
- Generate routine financial reports for management.
- Enter accounting transactions into financial systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- File financial documents electronically and physically.
- Ensure confidentiality of financial information.
- Follow company financial procedures and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with VAT and accounting regulations.
- Identify and report discrepancies or irregularities.
- Support improvements in accounting processes and procedures.
Requirements
~1 min read- Diploma or certification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role will be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Experience using accounting software is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality.
