Job Overview 

Costing & Warranty clerk ensures accurate costing of service and repair jobs for commercial vehicles and processes warranty claims in line with manufacturer and company requirements, supporting cost control and timely claim recovery in compliance to the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E. requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E. tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

Service Costing 

• Ensure correctness and completeness of job card with regard to number, correct account number, credit limits, vehicle details etc. 
• Ensure job cards are invoiced and cost accurately and timeously.
• Ensure correct number of labour hours against the flat rate manual is cost; include sublet work, oil and consumables. 

Workshop performance 

• Monitor and report updating requirements of technical database for time and efficiency analysis to the Service Admin Manager. 
• Monitor WIP. 

Customer Service 

• Ensure requests for estimates are administered accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure high quality of costing so as to enhance customer satisfaction minimizing customer disputes. 

Administration 

• Ensure all vehicles are checked for accuracy.
• Ensure all relevant documents are authorized attached (repair, orders for costing, parts requisition, diagnosis reports etc) to comply with DTSA audit standard. 
• Ensure all job cards are filed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12.
• Computer Literate (preferably Kerridge system experience).

Experience: 

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Costing & Warranty Clerk.

Special Knowledge:

• Knowledge of commercial vehicles and technical automotive knowledge.
• Warranty/Maintenance systems.
• Product Knowledge (DTSA product knowledge is an advantage) .
• Workshop processes.
