The Senior Program Manager – SAP Procurement Engineering (L5) is responsible for leading end‑to‑end delivery, operations, and transformation of SAP procurement platforms. This includes application architecture, development, support, release management, AI driven solutions, automation (RPA), and continuous innovation across the Procurement (P2P) Landscape
The role demands a strong blend of engineering leadership, procurement domain expertise, and program governance to drive scalable, secure, and business-aligned SAP solutions.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Lead high‑performing SAP Procurement engineering teams across application development, enhancement, and RUN operations (S/4 MM, SRM where applicable).
- Manage end‑to‑end people leadership including goal setting, performance evaluation, capability building, and succession planning aligned to SAP COE objectives.
- Drive continuous upskilling in SAP S/4HANA, BTP, APIs, and automation technologies.
- Build a future‑ready team aligned with global P2P (procure to pay) transformation roadmap and digital procurement strategy.
- Act as the key interface between business (Procurement, Finance) and IT for SAP P2P solutions.
- Build strong relationships with global procurement stakeholders across regions.
- Partner with central and regional teams to enable standardized procurement processes and platform harmonization across markets, plants, entities.
- Ensure proactive communication, risk mitigation, and escalation management for procurement programs.
- Drive end‑to‑end delivery of SAP Procurement programs including implementations, rollouts, and enhancements (S/4, integrations).
- Lead capacity planning, budgeting, vendor governance, and resource optimization for P2P initiatives.
- Ensure high‑quality delivery through structured review of business requirements, functional designs (FSD), technical specifications, and solution architecture.
- Own release management, transport governance, and deployment cycles across procurement systems.
- Convert strategic procurement transformation goals into actionable execution roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
- Define and drive the SAP Procurement Engineering strategy aligned with enterprise digital and OneERP vision.
- Identify opportunities for automation using RPA, AI, workflow optimization, and SAP BTP services.
- Champion innovation in areas such as supplier collaboration, guided buying, invoice automation, and analytics.
Requirements
~1 min read- 12–17 years of experience in SAP, with significant exposure to Procurement Domain
- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA MM (Buying, Sourcing, Contracts, Invoicing), and procurement integrations.
- Proven experience in managing large SAP programs, including global rollouts and transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes: sourcing, contracting, purchasing, supplier management, invoicing.
- Demonstrated experience in working with global teams and stakeholders across regions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Expertise in reviewing business requirements, FSDs, technical designs, and solution architecture for SAP systems.
- Experience with SAP BTP, APIs, automation (RPA), and analytics is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to collaborate with North America time‑zone stakeholders as needed.
