What We Offer
~1 min readAs a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in designing, building, and supporting enterprise data, BI, and AI-enabled analytics solutions across our Azure Databricks. Supporting both project delivery and BAU operations, you’ll work closely with business stakeholders, BI teams, and technology partners to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions that drive smarter business outcomes.
- Design, build, and support enterprise data, BI, and AI-enabled analytics solutions across the Azure Databricks
- Deliver both project-based initiatives and BAU support, ensuring reliable and high-quality data and reporting solutions
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and analytical data models using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, ADLS, SQL, Python, PySpark, and Databricks SQL
- Build, optimise, and administer Power BI datasets, semantic models, and reports to enable advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making
- Monitor data platforms and pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance, reliability, and data quality
- Implement and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps
- Apply data governance, security, authentication, and access control best practices across Azure services
- Contribute to the design, enforcement, communication, and education of data governance practices
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, BI teams, data science, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions
Requirements
~1 min read- Strong experience delivering data solutions on Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on expertise with SQL, Python, PySpark, and Databricks SQL
- Proven experience designing data warehouses and analytical data models
- Strong Power BI development and administration skills, including DAX
- Experience working in DevOps environments, including CI/CD and source control
- Ability to balance project delivery with BAU support in production environments
- Solid understanding of data integration, analytics platforms, and reporting architectures
- Experience delivering or supporting AI/BI or advanced analytics solutions
- Exposure to Azure AI or analytics services (e.g. Azure Machine Learning)
- End-to-end delivery experience for BI or advanced analytics initiatives
- Retail industry experience highly desirable, with exposure to supply chain, logistics, or banking considered advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Results-driven with excellent organisation and prioritisation abilities
- Calm, adaptable, and effective in fast-paced environments
- Proactive mindset with strong initiative and accountability
- Commercially astute with sound business judgement
- Collaborative communicator, able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
