We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Professional to manage and enhance our semi-monthly payroll operations. This role requires a hands-on expert who is comfortable reviewing, refining, and improving payroll processes while actively participating in payroll execution and related projects.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Process and manage semi-monthly payroll accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- →Review, audit, and improve payroll processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and strong internal controls
- →Ensure compliance with multi-state and local tax regulations, including filings, reporting, and reconciliations
- →Partner with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers to resolve discrepancies and implement process improvements
- →Lead or contribute to payroll-related projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and compliance initiatives
- →Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll regulations, tax requirements, and best practices
- →Scrutinize and improve current payroll and compliance processes, ensure accurate state registrations and filings, coordinate corrective actions such as W‑2c issues, and manage end‑to‑end payroll processing
- U.S. payroll experience required with global payroll experience a plus
- Extensive experience in full-cycle payroll processing
- Expert knowledge of state and local payroll taxes, filings, and compliance requirements
- Experience working with multiple payroll providers and payroll software platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve process gaps
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage relationships with external payroll vendors
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to accurac
