The Procurement Specialist leads, develops, and executes product and services sourcing strategies for assigned facilities, manages the local procurement process, and manages supplier relationships to support facility and regional procurement goals.
- Manages supplier qualification and relationship management for assigned facilities.
- Manages the Request for Proposal (RFP) and bid process, including market comparisons, evaluation, and analysis.
- Identifies local and nationwide suppliers to meet facility demand and coordinates delivery timelines with facility installation and need schedules.
- Leads contract finalization activities, including negotiations, awarding of contracts, follow-up, and dispute resolution.
- Processes purchase orders and invoices, and manages approval, placement, and expediting for assigned sites.
- Performs supplier and vendor performance analysis and compliance oversight to determine the need for contract amendments or extensions.
- Compiles data for cost reporting and participates in corporate procurement meetings.
- Directs and coordinates facility personnel engaged in formulating requests for proposals or requisitions.
- Manages purchasing card (P-card) spend and reconciles on a weekly basis.
- Performs monthly open purchase order reviews and invoice match exemption reporting with assigned sites.
- Other reasonable directives, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or a combination of education, training, and experience that qualifies the individual to perform the duties of the position.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and procurement processes.
- Experience negotiating contracts and resolving supplier disputes.
- Experience communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office applications.
This role operates in an office environment, and the noise level is generally quiet.
Physical Requirements: Regular sitting for extended periods, and use of a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment. Regular talking, hearing, seeing, and reaching with hands.
