Pediatric Hospitalist - Mease Countryside Hospital

Join the founding team dedicated solely to Mease Countryside Hospital, an 8-bed general pediatric unit, and help create a pediatric hospitalist service designed around quality, efficiency, and exceptional family-centered care. Your expertise and ideas will directly influence how the program grows and evolves. 

Provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric care, including: 

• Pediatric admissions and daily patient management 

• Discharge planning and care coordination 

• Pediatric emergency department consultations 

• Collaboration with specialists and multidisciplinary teams 

Work closely with nursing, advanced practice providers, care management, and hospital leadership to develop best practices, enhance patient outcomes, and create an outstanding experience for patients and families. 

We welcome pediatricians with pediatric hospital medicine experience who are energized by program development, collaboration, and leadership opportunities. 174 shifts per year with night call responsibilities, providing consistent coverage and continuity of care for hospitalized pediatric patients and newborns. This team-based model supports both quality patient care and physician work-life balance. 

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Successful completion of an ACGME/AOA-accredited residency in Pediatrics.
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics
• PALS, NRP, BLS Certifications
• Prior pediatric inpatient/hospitalist experience preferred
