Responsibilities

This part-time position is a Registered Youth Apprenticeship through the U.S. Department of Labor and CareerWise USA. Due to federal and state statutory program guidelines, youth apprentices are defined as ages 16-24.

This registered youth apprenticeship features a structured 3-year on-the-job training and educational curriculum designed to take you from foundational learning to advanced professional skills. While the training program is mapped over three years, employment is at-will. This means both you and the Company retain the right to terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or advance notice.

This role is working with a fast-paced tech company and subsidiary of Pinnacol. This tech-driven team uses intelligent automation and data analytics to make getting insurance faster and smarter for small businesses.

You’ll be joining the Operations Program Management team and be responsible for projects that touch every part of the business, from leading training sessions and testing out new software (User Acceptance Testing), to diving into data to see how we can improve. Plus, you’ll get hands-on experience with pro-level tools like Scribe, Guru, and Looker, building a high-tech skill set that will look incredible on your future resume.

  • Attend a classroom training consisting of 20+ business acumen and core competency workshops.
  • Help design the game plan for our team! You’ll assist in building training guides and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that teach our Customer Care Team exactly how to support our clients like pros.
  • Test-drive new software and help build AVA, our very own Chatbot, to make sure it’s ready for the real world.
  • Use professional tools like Looker to create data reports and charts that help the whole company see the big picture and make smart decisions.
  • Support non-profit community organizations through paid volunteer opportunities.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work Monday through Thursday afternoons.
  • Must possess or be actively working towards a high school diploma or GED by the start date
  • Must be eligible to register as a CareerWise youth apprentice.

  • CURIOSITY/INQUIRY: The disposition to respectfully and tactfully ask questions, investigate, research and/or demonstrate an inherent motivation to learn and grow in familiarity with a certain subject area or circumstance.
  • INFORMATION MANAGEMENT: Locating and collecting data from appropriate sources and analyzing it to prepare meaningful and concise reports that summarize the information.
