As our Senior Software Engineer, you'll partner with the Engineering Manager, product leaders, and design teams to build and scale high-impact full-stack applications across our ecosystem. You'll play a key role in delivering performant, reliable, and intuitive web solutions that support complex workflows and real-world use cases. You are a seasoned full-stack engineer with 5+ years of professional experience building web applications. You're at home in React and Next.js on the front end and Nest.js (Node.js) on the back end, and you've designed, built, and consumed GraphQL APIs in production. You've built and maintained CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, and you understand the value Serverless and Kubernetes bring to how software is developed and deployed.

You have a strong grasp of core web and browser concepts, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and both relational and non-relational data models. When performance problems show up, you know how to diagnose them, and how to prevent them in the first place.

You communicate clearly, in writing and out loud, and you build consensus with peers and keep stakeholders updated. You're positive, solution-oriented, self-motivated, and well organized. You're comfortable in a highly agile, intensely iterative environment, including on a geographically distributed team. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or another physical science (or equivalent experience) is expected; a master's is a plus.

Bonus points for: experience with the Spring Framework supporting Java-based services, enterprise or product-focused software company experience, and experience on a remote or globally distributed team.

• →Design, build, and ship full-stack features across PLACE products using React and Next.js on the front end and Nest.js on the back end, in a secure, well-tested, and performant way
• →Design, build, and maintain GraphQL APIs and schemas that power front-end and cross-team needs, following best practices for performance, versioning, and schema governance
• →Partner with Product Management, UX, Backend, and other stakeholders to scope, iterate on, and deliver new features end-to-end
• →Write maintainable, high-quality code and champion team standards through thoughtful code review
• →Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, partnering with DevOps/platform teams on deployment automation, environment management, and release processes
• →Apply DevOps principles across the development lifecycle, using Serverless and Kubernetes-based deployment patterns where appropriate
• →Diagnose and resolve performance issues across the stack, from browser rendering to API and data-layer bottlenecks
• →Learn, collaborate, and teach fellow engineers, because everyone can contribute something new to the team
