The Travel Retail Area Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, brand equity, and operational excellence across travel retail partners in the Levant, Middle East, and Egypt. The role focuses on managing distributors and duty-free operators, executing brand strategies, optimizing retail performance, and leading on-ground execution across perfumes and cosmetics categories.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Manage and develop travel retail accounts and distributors across assigned markets
- Drive sales performance in line with regional targets (sell-in, sell-out, and margin)
- Lead annual negotiations, commercial agreements, and trading terms
- Build strong partnerships with duty-free operators, distributors, and airport stakeholders
- Ensure best-in-class brand execution across fragrances and cosmetics
- Implement global and regional guidelines for merchandising, visibility, and assortment
- Oversee in-store activations, animations, launches, and seasonal campaigns
- Monitor pricing, assortments, and competitive landscape
- Manage and develop distributor performance against KPIs
- Align forecasts, inventory levels, and replenishment plans with supply chain teams
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, contracts, and reporting requirements
- Identify expansion opportunities in new airports or retail concepts
- Coordinate and support beauty advisors, promoters, and training initiatives
- Ensure consistent product knowledge and selling excellence
- Work closely with training teams on fragrance storytelling and product education
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and market action plans
- Track performance by door, airport, and category
- Analyze sales, conversion, footfall, and promotion effectiveness
- Provide clear market insights and recommendations to regional management
Requirements
~1 min read- 6–10 years of experience in travel retail, luxury beauty, perfumes, or cosmetics
- Strong exposure to airport duty free and distributor-led markets
- Proven experience managing multi-country territories
- Track record of delivering commercial growth in complex markets
