Draughtsman & Estimator - Aluminium & Glass Company Overview Our client is an established South African property company specialising in the development, leasing and management of commercial and industrial real estate. Role Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Draughtsman & Estimator to prepare technical drawings, quotations and cost estimates for aluminium and glass products, including windows, doors and shopfronts. The successful candidate will support projects from initial measurements and design through to production and installation. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate manufacturing and shop drawings, elevations and cutting lists using AutoCAD and Bizman. Calculate quantities of glass, aluminium profiles and hardware, and prepare cost estimates, quotations, tenders and bills of quantities (BOQs). Submit drawings and quotations to clients for approval and release approved jobs into production. Take accurate on-site measurements and liaise with architects, clients and site managers. Assist with tracking projects through manufacturing and installation. Requirements Minimum Requirements Certificate or qualification in Draughting and Design at NQF Level 4 or 5. AutoCAD certification. 2–3 years’ experience in aluminium and glass manufacturing. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bizman. Strong Excel, estimating and costing skills. Knowledge of AAAMSA and SAGGA standards.
