YOUR PURPOSE AND FUNCTION IN OUR COMPANY:

The Agency Relationship Representative is responsible for building and strengthening relationships with independent insurance agencies while driving profitable growth across Personal Lines and Commercial Lines within an assigned territory. Serving as the primary field representative for the territory, this role partners with internal underwriting and claims teams as well as agency personnel to identify growth opportunities, promote company products and capabilities, and deliver an exceptional agency experience.

The Agency Relationship Representative will:

Cultivate Agency Relationships & Manage Assigned Territory

  • Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with independent insurance agencies throughout the assigned territory. Conduct regular in-person agency visits to strengthen partnerships and identify opportunities for profitable growth. Schedule and maintain a structured travel calendar with meetings coordinated in advance. Serve as the primary point of contact for agency partners by providing responsive service, education, and support. Represent the company professionally at agency meetings, networking events, and industry functions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of agency interactions, sales activities, and follow-up actions within the company’s CRM system. Prioritize agency visits based on strategic opportunities, business objectives, and growth potential. Consistently execute territory plans that align with company sales and profitability goals.

Drive profitable growth and retention:

  • Promote company products, underwriting appetite, programs, and value proposition to agency partners. Analyze agency production, profitability, and growth opportunities using company reporting tools. Develop agency-specific action plans to increase quote activity, new business production, and overall engagement. Identify opportunities to appoint and develop new agency relationships within the territory.

Collaborate with Underwriting Teams:

  • Partner closely with Personal Lines and Commercial Lines Underwriting teams to support agency growth and deliver exceptional service. Coordinate joint agency visits with underwriting partners when appropriate. Share agency feedback, competitive intelligence, and market trends with internal leadership. Partner with Underwriting team and participate in regular Agency Reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry required (sales, underwriting, customer service, or agency experience preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Personal Lines and Commercial Lines insurance products.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and a travel schedule.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service abilities.
  • Experience working with independent insurance agencies preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Residency in the regional area required, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel approximately 75% of the time within the assigned territory. Frequent day travel with occasional overnight travel for meetings, conferences, and company events.
  • Property & Casualty license or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires frequent travel approximately 75% of workdays. This travel is frequent day travel with occasional overnight travel for meetings, conferences, and company events

The base pay range for this position is $72,500-$100,000 per year paid on a salaried basis. The rate offered to any candidate will be reflective of the candidate’s experience and any relevant education, certification, or qualifications related to their ability to perform the responsibilities of this position as permitted by law.
