We’re looking for a reliable, organized, and hands-on team member to support community events across Connecticut and Rhode Island. This temporary role, (roughly May – August) is critical to ensuring our events run smoothly—from packing materials to on-the-ground support and speaking to the community about our services. 
  • Attend approximately 60% of community events as on-site staff support  

  • Pack and prepare materials and supplies for upcoming events  

  • Interact with the community about the services Planned Parenthood of Southern New England provides.  

  • Coordinate material pick-up with event point-of-contact staff or transport materials directly to events  

  • Track inventory of event supplies and notify the Communications, Brand & Marketing (CBM) team when items are running low  

  • Unpack and restock materials following events  

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the event storage/closet space  

  • Ensure all materials are event-ready, branded appropriately, and fully stocked  

  • Interacts effectively and builds trust with a diversity of people and has demonstrated an ability to effectively work across difference  
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license  

  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Connecticut and Rhode Island, including locations such as New Haven, Waterbury, Hartford, and Providence  

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds (event materials, boxes, supplies)  

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail  

  • Comfortable working independently and managing logistics without direct supervision  

  • Reliable, punctual, and communicative  

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends  

  • Schedule will vary week-to-week based on event calendar with typically 15-22.5 hours per week  

  • Hours may include event attendance, as well as weekday time for packing, organizing, and coordination
