Location: Sheffield (min 4 days office based)

We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead and strengthen quality, governance, and compliance across our organisation. This is a key leadership role for someone who combines strong quality management expertise with people management experience and a background in digital or healthcare environments.

The Role

As Quality Manager, you will take ownership of the organisation’s Quality Management System and lead continuous improvement across services. You will manage a small Quality function, work closely with operational and clinical leads, and ensure compliance with ISO standards, regulatory expectations, and best-practice governance.

This role suits someone who is confident operating at both a strategic and hands‑on level, with the ability to translate quality and regulatory requirements into practical, operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain the organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS), policies, procedures, and document control.
  • Line manage and develop the Quality team, ensuring effective delivery of quality, audit, and compliance activities.
  • Act as the central point of contact for quality issues, non‑conformances, complaints, and CAPA activity.
  • Lead internal audits and support external audits and inspections.
  • Analyse quality data, incidents, complaints, and KPIs to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee governance, risk management, and reporting to senior leadership and governance forums.
  • Support and promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness across the organisation.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant ISO standards and healthcare and digital regulatory requirements.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proven line management experience, including supporting, developing, and performance‑managing staff.
  • Practical experience working within a quality management role in either a healthcare, diagnostics, digital, or regulated environment.
  • Experience working with ISO‑aligned Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, non‑conformance management, audits, and continuous improvement.
  • Confident communicator, able to work with staff at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report on quality and performance data.

Desirable

  • Experience in healthcare, digital health, medical devices, or regulated digital services.
  • Knowledge of healthcare or information governance frameworks (e.g. CQC, DSP Toolkit, UKCA, ISO standards).
  • Experience using digital quality systems, reporting tools, or dashboards (e.g. Power BI).
  • Quality, governance, or health and safety qualifications.
