Responsibilities:
- This position supervises the activities related to warehousing and warehouse personnel by performing the required duties.
- Records the number of materials or items received or distributed.
- Assign new locations.
- Reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
- Payment collection and filling out control sheets.
- Fill out reports for products received.
- Organize and prepare loads onto trucks for delivery routes.
- Actively mentoring facilitates professional development among the team members.
- Generates data and provides analysis revolving around improved efficiencies, cost savings, and increased sales.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; and appraising performance.
- Coordination with production and sales on pending and/or special orders.
- Responsible for ensuring cleanliness, security, and temperature control within the warehouse, freezers, refrigerators, and the loading zone.
- Monitor the condition and functionality of warehouse equipment. (Forklift, pallet jacks, scales, and "devils")
- Monitoring reports for merchandise expiration dates, products with higher turnover, and aging American products, amongst others.
- Review and HACCP forms of storage. (Collection of shellfish, temperature control, and sanitation, calibration of thermometers, etc.)
- Coordinate product transfers to and from production. Fill in the registration of transfers. Reception and return address. Fill out the registration forms and return the authorization.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of personnel management.
- Warehouse/Inventory Control experience is necessary.
- Planning, organizing, professional written and oral communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Available to work different shifts as necessary and occasional to frequent overtime.
- Work Environment: fast-paced industrial machinery and cold storage work environment.
- Able to communicate in English and Spanish.
- Ability to withstand cold storage temperature for extended periods.
- Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Experience in the usage of forklifts, manual pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks. 2-wheeler dolly.
