What we are looking for:

​A creative and team-focused Instructional Designer who is in agreement with Prison Fellowship's Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct to develop instructional content and learning experiences for program participants, staff, and volunteers in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will analyze business goals, performance gaps, and learner needs to determine the right learning or performance support solution.

Expectations of this role:

• Maintain an active relationship with Jesus Christ and support the ministry through prayer and actions
• Analyze business goals, performance gaps, and learner needs to determine the right learning or performance support solution, translate2 ambiguous requirements into effective instructional strategies, and define measurable learning objectives aligned to desired behaviors and outcomes
• Design and develop learning experiences for volunteers, program participants (e.g., prisoners, wardens, church partners, and other partner organizations), and Prison Fellowship staff, by creating engaging learning deliverables for eLearning, instructor-led materials, virtual training, and job aids
• Write and refine clear, concise course content, scripts, scenarios, and assessments aligned to learning objectives. Effectively self-edit and revise for clarity and instructional effectiveness, while ensuring consistency with organizational style, brand, and messaging
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and subject matter experts by asking insightful questions to uncover true performance needs, while clearly communicating instructional design rationale, managing expectations, and incorporating feedback
• Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, video, graphic design and other marketing partners to consult on, coordinate, and deliver cohesive, high-quality learning assets that align with brand and communication standards
• Partner closely with project managers to help define project scope, tasks, and timelines
• Provide in-person or virtual facilitation for end-users and/or trainers as needed
• Serve as an admin of Prison Fellowship learning platforms (e.g., adding new courses and users into the LMS)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, adult education, curriculum design or similar; graduate degree preferred
• 5 years of instructional design experience
• Solid background in adult education, curriculum design, instructional technology, and instructional design; facilitation skills preferred
• Strong knowledge of MS Office productivity tools, project management tools, and storyboarding; experience using Articulate Rise desired
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as client-facing customer service skills
• This is a remote/virtual position in the United States

Part-time employees working at least 20 hours per week on a regular basis are eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits, on a pro-rated basis. Salary at Prison Fellowship is determined by a variety of factors. For this position, the salary range is projected to be between $72,000 and $80,000.
