Our respected Client, a leading European Real Estate Investment, Development, and Management company, is seeking an experienced professional for the role of European Head of Design and Development. Based in Prague or Warsaw, this senior role is pivotal in driving the design and development of commercial real estate projects across Europe, ensuring innovation, quality, and strategic alignment. European Head of Design and Development CZ/2412/EHDD /based in Prague or Warsaw/ About Role: As European Head of Design and Development, you will take ownership of delivering innovative and high-quality design solutions for commercial real estate projects across Europe. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external partners, you will ensure that each project reflects the company’s vision and meets the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Master Planning: Lead the master planning of new parks and sites, preparing layouts and feasibility studies. Optimize land utilization while integrating multiple property types (industrial, office, amenities, communal spaces). Ensure external areas are fully designed including landscaping, bike /walk paths, parking, street furniture, and utilities. Design Standards: Own and continuously update the company’s design standards (White Book), keeping them aligned with the latest trends, technologies, client needs, and cost benchmarks. Ensure standards support ESG and certification goals (Breeam/LEED or similar). Innovation & Sustainability: Recommend and implement new materials, technologies, and property types. Drive refurbishment and improvement programs, enhancing aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability. Collaborate with architects, planners, authorities, and tenants to deliver innovative solutions. Leadership & Collaboration: Build and lead a specialist design team (setup to be agreed). Report directly to Group leadership (Construction & Innovation, Business Support). Work closely with regional Construction Directors, Business Development, and ESG teams. Travel regularly across Europe to strategic project locations. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. At least 20 years of experience in design and development within the commercial real estate sector. Deep understanding of construction and procurement processes to effectively collaborate with other business units on Group level. Client mindset to strongly support business development in CTP countries. Open mindset and innovations to challenge status quo. Great stakeholder management to manage international teams, colleagues and clients. English language is must; German, Dutch and Czech would be nice to have.
