Product Marketing Manager
Quick Summary
Positioning & messaging: Develop sharp, no-nonsense messaging that explains what Proton does, why it matters, and how we’re different.
The wholesale distribution industry is ready for a revolution, and Proton is leading the charge. The world relies on distributors to sell nearly every physical product, but despite its massive contribution to the global economy, this industry has been left behind in terms of technology. Proton is changing that. With AI-powered sales software, we’re breaking through the complexity of selling millions of products and making it easier for distributors to anticipate customer needs. Our mission is to bring the distribution industry into the modern age and the results speak for themselves. Distributors using Proton see 10x ROI, faster new hire ramp-up, and happier sales teams.
In 2022, we raised a $20M Series A backed by Felicis Ventures (investors in Twitch, Shopify, Opendoor, and many others) and Battery Ventures. This year, we’re laser-focused on driving customer growth. If you’re excited about the opportunity to wear multiple hats, and continuously learn and experiment, now’s the time to join the Proton team.
Proton is at an inflection point. We started as a CRM for distributors, and now we’re expanding into a multi-product platform. More products to take to market. More problems to solve. More opportunity for a product marketer to make a real impact. We’re looking for a strategic product marketer who knows how to turn product into pipeline. You’ll own go-to-market for new capabilities, sharpen our positioning in a competitive space, and arm Sales with stories that win. You’ll report to our Head of Marketing and work closely with Product, Sales, and our CEO. From day one, you’ll be executing on the core pillars of product marketing—positioning, messaging, enablement, and launches. We move fast, bias hard toward action, and stay close to the customer. If you want real ownership and the chance to directly shape how a startup makes the leap from product to platform, this is the role.
Comp: $100k-$160k
Note: We care more about drive than a perfect résumé. Maybe you’re running content, sitting in customer success, or doing something else entirely — and you’ve been itching to break into product marketing. If you’re hungry to learn, curious about customers, and not afraid to hustle, apply anyway.
