Banding: Band 6/7
Location: South Eastern Scotland
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £24.00 – £33.00 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time or Part-time
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Adult Speech and Language Therapist to join a supportive team in South Eastern Scotland. This role is primarily based within an acute setting, working with adults who present with a range of communication and swallowing needs.
The position is based in a rural location and offers a varied caseload. While the primary focus is acute care, there is flexibility to incorporate community work depending on the successful candidate’s experience and preferences. Accommodation can also be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to relocate or work away from home.
Responsibilities

- →Assess, diagnose, and treat adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- →Provide specialist assessment and management of dysphagia.
- →Deliver evidence-based therapy tailored to individual patient needs.
- →Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- →Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in line with professional standards.
- →Adapt your caseload to include community work where appropriate.
Requirements

- A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
- HCPC registration.
- Experience working with adult patients in an acute setting.
- Competency in dysphagia, as well as communication and swallowing disorders.
- Experience in voice therapy is not required.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
