Band 6 Pharmacist - South London

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join a hospital team on a long-term locum basis. This role offers the opportunity to work across both ward and dispensary settings within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines, delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services, and supporting patient care throughout their hospital journey.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide clinical pharmacy input at ward level as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT)
- →Ensure the safe, appropriate, and legal use of medicines across ward and dispensary settings
- →Undertake medicines reconciliation and support discharge processes, including counselling patients
- →Review prescriptions for safety, appropriateness, and legality, resolving any issues identified
- →Conduct medicines-related consultations with inpatients during admission
- →Support and work alongside medicines management technicians
- →Deliver medication education sessions and support group work on wards
- →Adhere to Trust policies, pharmacy procedures, and national guidelines
Requirements
~1 min read- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and clinical governance
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and patient-facing skills
