Band 8a Pharmacist - Clinical cancer - North Wales

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 8a Clinical Cancer Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team in North Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist pharmacist to provide advanced clinical pharmacy support within cancer services while contributing to a range of pharmacy technical service activities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise treatments, improve patient outcomes, and ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.

• →Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to oncology and cancer patients.
• →Support the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of cancer medicines.
• →Undertake clinical medication reviews and provide pharmaceutical advice to healthcare professionals.
• →Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and patient care planning.
• →Support prescribing decisions and medicines optimisation initiatives within cancer services.
• →Contribute to the monitoring and management of high-risk medicines.
• →Assist with pharmacy technical service activities as required.
• →Support clinical governance, audit, and service improvement projects.
• →Maintain accurate documentation in line with professional and regulatory standards.

• Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Have significant NHS hospital pharmacy experience.
• Demonstrate experience working at Band 8a level or equivalent.
• Possess specialist clinical knowledge within Oncology or Cancer Services.
• Have experience providing advanced clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting.
• Be confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Possess excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Have experience contributing to service development, audit, and medicines governance activities.
