Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled clinical pharmacist to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care within a busy hospital environment, supporting the pharmacy service during a period of maternity leave cover.
The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise medicines management, support safe prescribing practices, and contribute to the delivery of patient-centred care across a range of clinical specialties.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide clinical pharmacy services to designated wards and departments.
- →Review prescriptions and deliver expert advice on medicines optimisation.
- →Support the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines.
- →Undertake medicines reconciliation and contribute to discharge planning processes.
- →Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied healthcare professionals.
- →Participate in clinical audits, service improvement initiatives, and governance activities.
- →Maintain accurate patient records and comply with professional and regulatory standards.
Requirements
~1 min read- Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Have previous hospital pharmacy experience.
- Hold a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
- Be confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Possess excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Have experience delivering patient-focused clinical pharmacy services within a hospital setting.
