## Company: Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (Korea) YH ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Applications Engineering General Summary: General Summary: Qualcomm is seeking a talented and motivated Windows/Linux BSP Engineer to join our Compute Platform team in a Customer Engineering (CE) role, with additional responsibilities supporting Field Application (FA) Engineering activities. In this position, you will contribute to the development, integration, and maintenance of Qualcomm’s compute platform BSP solutions while working closely with customers, OEMs, and enterprise partners. You will play a key role in enabling and optimizing Windows and Linux software stacks, driving BSP bring-up and platform validation, and providing hands-on technical, post-sales support. Through direct customer engagement, you will support technical enablement, issue resolution, and successful deployment of Qualcomm compute platforms across a variety of use cases and products. Key Responsibilities: BSP Engineering • Drive BSP bring-up and validation on Qualcomm compute platforms for both Windows and Linux environments. • Develop, integrate, and maintain board support packages including bootloaders, kernel drivers, and platform firmware. • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to triage and resolve platform level stability and compatibility issues. • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for testing, log analysis, and system validation. • Document BSP configurations, known issues, and resolutions to support internal knowledge sharing and customer engagement. Field Application (FA) Engineering • Provide direct technical post-sales engagement with enterprise customers, OEMs, and ODMs on compute platforms. • Support IT requirements, pre-test/evaluation, issue debugging, and issue management for enterprise and OEM customers. • Assist with image deployment, updates, and configuration support on customer platforms. • Conduct OEM platform pre-validation and direct OEM/ODM technical engagement. • Report bugs and platform issues back to internal engineering teams and help drive resolution. • Support documentation, tools, and training materials for customers and partners. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. • 2–6 years of hands-on experience in Windows and/or Linux BSP development on compute or embedded platforms. • Experience with low-level software development including bootloaders (e.g., UEFI, U-Boot), device drivers, and kernel modules. • Proficiency in C and/or C++ programming. • Solid understanding of hardware-software interaction, memory management, and platform bring-up processes. • Quick learner with adaptability to new technologies. • Comfortable in English communication (spoken and written). Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Windows Driver development (WDK/KMDF/UMDF) or Linux kernel driver development. • Familiarity with ACPI, device tree, and platform configuration for compute platforms. • Experience with debugging tools such as WinDbg, JTAG/T32, gdb, or serial console debugging. • Knowledge of UEFI/EDK2 firmware development or customization. • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for test automation and log analysis. • Experience in customer-facing FA or CE (Customer Engineer) roles supporting enterprise or OEM/ODM customers. • Experience with application compatibility testing and IT deployment/configuration troubleshooting. • Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and Windows on Snapdragon (WoS) ecosystem is a strong plus. • Experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon compute platforms is a strong plus. • Exposure to virtualization, hypervisor, or multi-OS environments is a plus. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a sense of ownership and accountability. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
