## Company: Qualcomm China ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering General Summary: GENERAL SUMMARY We are looking for skilled engineers to develop drivers for the snapdragon GPU to automotive products, and provide technical support to 2D, 3D, or computing applications based on OpenGL ES/Vulkan/OpenCL. You will be responsible for new feature design, technology investigation, debug/analyze/resolve issues, ASPICE process enhancement, unit test/coverage under multiple OSs(Android/Linux/QNX/GreenHill). You will also be involved in global teams for key issues and new designs. The responsibilities of this role include: * Working independently with little supervision. * Making decisions that are moderate in impact; errors may have financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships; errors may require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct. * Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels. May require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents. * Having a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to provide input on key decisions). * Completing tasks that do not have defined steps; simultaneous use of multiple mental abilities is generally required to determine the best approach; mistakes may result in significant rework. * Exercising substantial creativity to innovate new processes, procedures, or work products within guidelines or to achieve established objectives. * Using deductive and inductive problem solving; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or conflicting; advanced data analysis and interpretation skills are required. * Occasionally participates in strategic planning within own area affecting immediate operations. EDUCATION QULIFICATION * Master or above with a major of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or relevant MINIMUN AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATION * Strong C & C++, multi-threaded programming. * knowledge of architecture of Linux system. * Debugging and troubleshooting under Linux/Android/QNX. * Experience in Graphic/GPU related to developing experience. Preferred Qualifications * Skills in OpenGL ES/Vulkan/OpenCL. * Knowledge and experience of mainstream window system like X11/Weston/Surface flinger, etc will be great plus. * Familiar with performance tuning and optimization tools is a great plus (Android, Linux, QNX, etc) * Experience with Linux driver development is a great plus. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. • 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
