Pay: Starting at $24/hour + $3/hour second-shift differential; higher starting rates may be available based on experience.

We are hiring an experienced CNC Machine Operator to process structural steel components in a heavy manufacturing environment. This position involves machine setup and operation, material handling, dimensional inspection, basic CNC adjustments, and equipment troubleshooting.

The right candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working from structural steel drawings and production specifications.

Set up and operate CNC equipment, including plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines.
Review shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine dimensions, specifications, and production requirements.
Use overhead cranes and rigging equipment to safely position and secure steel beams, plates, and other materials.
Monitor CNC equipment during production and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and product quality.
Check finished work using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other precision measuring tools.
Make basic programming edits and machine adjustments for varying material sizes and thicknesses.
Perform routine CNC equipment maintenance and troubleshoot operating issues.
Follow OSHA requirements and shop safety procedures.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Work independently while coordinating effectively with the production team.

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
2+ years of CNC machine operation experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
Ability to read and understand structural steel shop drawings.
Experience with precision measurement tools.
Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
