We are hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment & Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, cranes, and other motorized equipment. Candidates must be available 24/7 for emergency repairs and willing to travel as needed.

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, cranes, and other motorized equipment.
  • Follow daily work assignments and safety instructions from the Shop Foreman.
  • Ensure tools and parts are available to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Complete work orders accurately, documenting mileage, operating hours, and repairs.
  • Communicate emergency repair needs to the Shop Foreman and prioritize assigned work.
  • Maintain an organized work area and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the team to complete repairs on schedule and perform other assigned duties.
  • At least 5 years of heavy equipment, trailer, or crane maintenance experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in two additional technical areas, such as hydraulics, electronics, or small engines.
  • High school diploma/GED and trade school or equivalent training in diesel mechanics.
  • Two years of technical or vocational training and five years of hands-on repair experience.
  • Professional certifications related to heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to use computers, communicate effectively, stay organized, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Available 24/7 for emergency assignments and able to travel up to 50%, including out of state.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, walking, and lifting.
  • Ability to work extended hours and in varying weather conditions.
  • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs; assistance is required for items weighing over 75 lbs.
