About the Role

We’re looking for a Product Co-op to join our product team for a 4 -12 month term starting in September 2026 working 3 days a week from our office in Vancouver.  This is a hands-on role where you'll work alongside experienced product managers, designers, and engineers to help shape and ship real products at an AI-first company. You'll contribute meaningfully from day one, and we expect you to bring AI into how you work, not just what you work on.

 

The salary range for this role is $20 - $27 an hour with 4% added in lieu of benefits. 

  • Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, and others) to accelerate discovery work, synthesizing user research, generating competitive analyses, and drafting product specs 

  • Assist in defining and prioritizing product requirements by conducting user research, analyzing data, and gathering feedback from customers and internal stakeholders, leveraging AI to surface patterns and insights at scale

  • Write clear and detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications to support the engineering and design teams

  • Support discovery and validation efforts by running competitive analyses, synthesizing qualitative insights, and identifying opportunities for improvement

  • Help track and report on key product metrics, using data to surface trends and inform decisions

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure features are delivered effectively

  • Participate in sprint ceremonies including standups, planning sessions, and retrospectives

  • Contribute to roadmap planning and help maintain product documentation

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Actively uses AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT in their day-to-day work, not just for simple prompts, but to extend what they can think through and produce

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and trade-offs

  • Analytical mindset - comfortable working with data to support product decisions

  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn; you ask good questions and aren’t afraid to challenge assumptions

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • A genuine interest in product management and building great user experiences

  • Previous co-op, internship, or project experience in a product, design, or technical role

  • Hands-on experience with AI coding or research tools beyond the basics,  you've built prompts, workflows, or automations that have saved time

  • Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Linear, or similar

  • Experience with data tools like Posthog, Databricks and SQL

  • Exposure to agile or scrum development methodologies

  • Customers at the core. We put the customer at the center of all we do. At a basic level, we believe business success comes down to talking to customers and building something they want. We don’t listen to customers and just take what they say blindly, but we think critically about it and build what they need. Customers are the core of everything we do, and our business exists to serve them. We prioritize their needs over all else within the company.

  • Move with urgency. There are times when we need to move slowly and deliberately, but we default to acting fast and with urgency. We slow down when necessary, but this should be a deliberate choice. Businesses become more lethargic as they grow, this principle is designed to fight this fact.

Don’t take someone’s word for it or the answer “because that’s how we do it.” Understand why and dig deep.
