Hiring Immediately!   This position will be working with older students focusing on transitional skills and community inclusion trips. The ideal candidate within this role has experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and possesses an affinity for math including financial literacy.   About QuestQuest, Inc. empowers Central Floridians with developmental disabilities by offering opportunities to live, learn, work and play.   Who are you?    A compassionate individual that is able to design and implement teaching programs for children at Quest Kids Academy for struggle with both intellectual and developmental conditions.   Why are we different?   Quest Kids Academy provides a customized education for children and teens with autism and other intellectual conditions using the principles and procedures of ABA therapy.   Overview responsibilities: Creates daily lesson plans and supplemental learning activities for students based on national, local and school standards. Differentiate lessons to give all students access to the curriculum regardless of ability, instructional level, or level of interest in the subject. Establishes an effective classroom management system (i.e., routines, transitions, expectations, individual and/or group contingencies, etc.) Implements curriculum content, including individual and group modifications, independently. Coordinates additional curriculum resource needs with Lead Teacher. Manages children who are assigned and ensure their safety. Assist with the supervision and training of Assistant Teachers. Assists with initial assessments of prospective students. Delivers high quality, engaging instruction in the form of direct teaching, demonstrations, and independent practice. Conducts group and individual teaching sessions for students as scheduled. Actively participates in the development of IEP goals and programs for assigned students utilizing data from assessments, progress reporting and other methods to set individualized goals in assigned subject area(s). Attends all IEP meetings as required. Evaluates student performance on skills established by the standards through direct observation and daily data collection, as well as curriculum-based assessments. Identifies acquisition deficits/barriers and develops strategies to remedy them. Monitors acquisition and deceleration programs, and the attendant data. Makes changes in acquisition and deceleration programs that are timely and linked to an assessment. Completes all reports as required.   Qualifications B.S. in Education (M.S. highly preferred) with either emphasis in Special Education or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). 2+ years of teaching experience with individuals with developmental disabilities Florida State certification in teaching in appropriate subject area (highly preferred) Experience with ABA is highly preferred Able to work in the US and not require Visa Sponsorship now or in the future
